Harbour of Light Parade: A favourite of many, the Harbour of Light Parade features more than 50 vessels illuminated with decorative lighting which sail on a 15km circuit around Sydney Harbour. Selected from design entries this year, the vessels chosen to participate in the Parade will be adorned with illuminated emblems representing the 2009 Sydney New Year’s Eve theme Awaken the Spirit’ glittering on either their hulls or masts. The Parade will include tall ships, Sydney’s Heritage Fleet and commercial charter vessels.
